The ScaleUp inBrazil program held a mission to Israel from March 20th to 25th to activate local startups. The mission was organized by the ABVCAP, Apex-Brasil and Israel Trade & Investment Sao Paulo with the aim of launching the program's third batch among Israeli startups. The team had meetings with accelerators, innovation hubs, government institutions, and law firms, as well as organized an event with local entrepreneurs.

Israel was the pilot country for the launch of the ScaleUp inBrazil. Launched in 2019, the program held two editions and accelerated 15 companies that saw the Brazilian market as an opportunity to expand their operations in Latin America. Of all the complementary characteristics of these two markets, the main factor attracting these startups to Brazil is the vast consumer market in the country.

During the mission, the team presented an overview of the innovation ecosystem in Brazil at an event organized in partnership with the Israel Export Institute. More than 50 entrepreneurs showed interest in getting to know the Brazilian market, and 96% of them confirmed having a medium to high interest in expanding their operations in Brazil.

The team also visited the Pearl Cohen and GKH law firms; the Jerusalem Venture Partners, Pitango Ventures, Health IL, Ignite Tech Spark, Growing IL innovation hubs; and the following governmental institutions Israel Export Institute, Israel Federation of Chambers of Commerce, and ITTN - Israel Tech Transfer Network.

The ScaleUp inBrazil program also plans missions to Singapore and Japan, markets that are participating for the first time in the program.
